Veterinarian - Fellow

Dr. Zoey Silver grew up on the southern coast of Oregon. Since childhood, she could be found caring for the variety of exotic animals her family raised, or riding and showing Quarter Horses. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Oregon State University in 2014. After graduating from OSU, Dr. Silver worked as a zookeeper, then as an assistant riding and training AQHA all-around horses. Though an injury paused her riding career, Dr. Silver returned to her studies to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2024.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Silver completed a one-year internship at Roaring Fork Equine Medical Center. In order to expand her knowledge and skill in equine medicine and surgery, she has stayed on for a one-year fellowship.

Dr. Silver’s clinical interests include sports medicine and rehabilitation, anesthesia and pain management, diagnostic imaging, and ophthalmology. Her commitment to the human-animal bond and community care drives her to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for her patients.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Silver enjoys spending time outdoors. She is an avid fly fisher, skier, and camper, and loves spending quality time with her dogs, cat, and horses.
