Veterinarian - Intern

Dr. Acacia Johnson was born and raised in Oregon. She worked as a veterinary technician throughout undergrad and received her B.S. in Animal Science at Oregon State University in 2018. Dr. Johnson went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at St. George’s University, completing her 4th year of clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania and graduating summa cum laude in January 2024.

She then joined the team at Roaring Fork Equine Medical Center in February for an abbreviated veterinary internship through May 2024 for high-quality mentorship as a new veterinarian.  Her special interests include emergency medicine and surgery, but she is excited to delve into all aspects of equine veterinary care.

Dr. Johnson is currently a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). In her free time, she enjoys serenading her two cats with the guitar, hiking, and trail-riding with her pony and mini donkey
